Thunderbird Creature Concept (Process)

The thunderbird is one of the creatures I designed for 'Project Loui'. Its design is heavily inspired by the eponymous creature from the Harry Potter franchise; which in turn takes its roots from the legendary creature known to Native North America's myths. Originally, I wanted to include more patterns in this design to hint more towards its origins, but ultimately decided against it since the design is already quite bloated in terms of complexity and readability.

Project Loui is going to be a Visual Novel, which began as a semester project and is still being developed by two of my (former) fellow students and I.
